Fitting Indian Coming May 13, 2025 〰️

My first book is coming soon!

I wrote Fitting Indian to create representation like you’ve never seen it, written for a generation ready to embrace that life is not always perfect. My debut teen graphic novel follows one girl’s journey navigating high school and her mental health within a traditional South Asian family. Meant to spark conversation and affirm that we do have to face our struggles alone.

about the illustrator:

Tara Anand is an award-winning illustrator and visual artist from Mumbai, India, based in New York City. Her work has appeared in the New Yorker, the New York Times, the LA Times, on Netflix, and more. Fitting Indian is her debut graphic novel.

A snapshot of a few recent reads I highly recommend!

The pacing is masterful and God of the Woods is a gripping exploration of fear, redemption, and the power of the unknown. Liz Moore has delivered a novel that is destined to stay with you long after you’ve turned the final page. An absolute must-read!

Every once in a while, a book comes along that grabs hold of your heart and doesn’t let go. I picked expecting a light read, but what I found was an emotional rollercoaster that I simply couldn’t put down. Not just a novel; it’s an experience. Whether you’re a fan of family dramas or just looking for a story that will leave a lasting impact, this is a must-read. I’ll be thinking about this book for years to come.

Kristin Hannah’s The Women is a deeply moving novel that shines a spotlight on the untold stories of women who served during the Vietnam War. Following the journey of Frances “Frankie” McGrath, a young nurse thrust into the chaos of war, Hannah masterfully captures the raw emotions of love, trauma, and the struggle to find one’s place in a world that doesn’t understand.
